Team Bad Company consists of three tournament fishing boats, competing in nearly every major billfish tournament in California, Mexico, and Hawaii.  Certain events, such as the Bisbee’s Black and Blue, will see more than one Team Bad Company entry.  In each event the team enters, they go across the board, entering every optional daily jackpot.  The teams’ record of success is unprecedented, including a world record $3.9 million dollar payout in the 2006 Bisbee’s Black and Blue.

Our team is unique in marketing and branding power with affiliations of a major yacht manufacturer in Viking Yachts and the alliance of the largest sport fisher dealer on the west coast with Crow's Nest Yachts. Team Bad Company also has its own signature series of boats, the Bad Company Editions, which currently consist of Viking with more brands currently in the works.

Team Accomplishments

The accomplishments of the team are a culmination of the team members that make up the team. Team Bad Company consists of 12 members and an annual budget to run the program at $1.2 million, with $300k in tournament entry fees alone. These include Captain Steve Lassley, whose skill and dedication has earned him legendary status.  Other integral members of the fishing team include Captain Pete Groesbeck, arguably the best tackle and angling expert on the west coast, and Jimmy Kingsmill, offering eagle eyes in the sky and an accomplished angler and captain as well.  Captain Randy Parker runs the Kona operation, and his pedigree in marlin fishing those waters is well known to all who are familiar with fishing in the islands.  There are other captains and crew members making up the team, each are experts and dedicated professionals who contribute to the success of the fishing team.There are many more components to the team than those you see on the podium accepting the winning check. 

Team Owner - Anthony Hsieh

Team owner Anthony Hsieh is the driving force behind the team.  An expert angler and captain in his own right, Anthony often will run his own boat in tournaments, and has finished in the money on more than one occasion.  A successful entrepreneur, Anthony has taken his successful business model into the sportfishing world, breaking new ground in boat construction, yacht sales, and tournament organization.  He brings to the table a full team of pros behind the scenes, a dedicated PR director, graphics team, web team, and business development personnel who work to keep the image and publicity of the team in front of the angling and business world.
