After 39 years of boating (2yrs on a 28’ single gas Luhrs, 3 yrs on a 32’ twin diesel Luhrs, and 34 yrs with a 38’ twin diesel Egg Harbor sportfisher) and the clock ticking past 78 yrs we, the Morris family, decided that it was time to empty the bait tank and pull in the lines. And so, we parted company with an important member of our family these past 34 years, the “Ken-Dan,”  Time to sit back and leave the driving to others (“Have Gyros, Will Crew”). Not to be! I don’t play golf, I don’t play tennis, and the most relaxing thing I enjoy is simply being out on the ocean enjoying the constant changes of ole Mother Nature. Sure, fishing is important, but only as a secondary benefit from the beauty of the ocean.

And so I started to look around - something simple, no long range cruising, but a simple safe, stable platform in the mid 20’s from which we could enjoy the ocean and chase (economically) whatever visitors come to are local waters. After evaluating our needs I wound up at Sundance Marine. Working with Barry, Joel, Ray, Anthony and their great staff they made me an offer that not even Don Corleone could refuse. And so, a 25’ Parker with twin 150 H.P Yamaha outboards has joined the family photo album. I have tried to put into this vessel so many of the “little” things that make boating and fishing successful. This included a visit to Costa Mesa for preparation of a tower and installation of additional electronic controls for the cockpit and the tower by Fishing Boats, Unlimited as well as other additions (e.g. a pulpit toe rail, raising the pulpit railing, and a great tower dashboard with additional engine instrumentation). Not enough can be said for the cooperation of Barry’s staff at Sundance and Tony Greyshock’s up there.

Here are a few pictures of what we have. I’d love to show you around. If interested check with Barry and we’ll set up an appointment.
