Jimmy Kingsmill has the distinction of being the principal spotter for Team Bad Company. Jimmy will most often be found on his custom perch atop the hard top of Bad Company, gyroscopic binoculars pressed to his face for hours and days on end. It is safe to say that when striped marlin fishing, most fish Team Bad Company catches were first spotted in the gyros by Jimmy. You can’t catch them if you can’t find them, and no one is better than Jimmy Kingsmill at that skill.
That is not to say that Jimmy is not talented at all aspects of the game. The Kingsmill clan, aboard the “Wild Bill” are known high liners in the Southern California marlin fleet. They have racked up impressive scores and light tackle tournament wins for more than 10 years. Their ability to consistently land fish on 12 lb. tackle clearly indicates the level of skill and attention to detail Jimmy and his family bring on board every time they depart on a fishing trip.
