Crow’s Nest Yachts Fishing Team Adds More Top West Coast Talent
Newport Beach, CA – June 2cnd, 2008: Grander Inc. dba, Crow’s Nest Yachts headed up by Newport Beach entrepreneur Anthony Hsieh, today announces the signing of top angler and professional, Greg Stotesbury, to the company’s fishing team. Stotesbury will run a West Coast Solution Contender 31 Fisharound and compete in key Southern California in-shore and off-shore fishing tournaments.

Greg Stotesbury has over 40 years of experience fishing the waters of Southern California, Mexico, Hawaii and throughout the Atlantic. For the past 23 years he has worked as sales manager for AFTCO Manufacturing. Greg is a past president of the Balboa Angling Club and a member of the Avalon Tuna Club and has won many tournaments and light tackle angling awards. He is a lifetime member of, and has served on the board of United Anglers of Southern California. Greg’s articles and contributions have appeared in many national and local publications, and he is a noted authority on all aspects of inshore and offshore saltwater fishing. He frequently lectures and gives seminars on a variety of fishing topics and is a regular guest on radio and TV productions.
Stotesbury’s Contender 31 Fisharound is the ultimate West Coast combination of 40-knot speed powered by twin Yamaha V6 250’s 4-strokes, combining speed, fuel efficiency, with a boat designed specifically to take advantage of Southern California offshore fishing at the islands and for swordfish, marlin and tuna fishability, unsurpassed seaworthiness and the comfort of an enclosed cabin allowing multi day trip comforts such as a full stand-up head, vee birth, sink, refer and microwave.
Other key features of Stotesbury’s Contender 31 Fisharound will include a full 2-person upper station for visibility, dual built-in bait tanks and mackerel tubes with dedicated pumps fed through a custom sea chest, 22 flush mounted rod holders in the gunnels, over a dozen over-head rod holders and a whole host of purpose built features designed by Stotesbury.
Stotesbury chose a top-of-the-line SIMRAD electronics package for Contender 31 Fisharound. The electronics includes the Simrad GB40 combining the 3D electronic charting, high def 36 mile radar and high performance fish finding. The GB40 will also come preloaded with sophisticated Jeppesen C-MAP MAX PRO-3D cartography, combining GPS, land elevations, satellite photos and bathymetric sea floor data. The Simrad equipment is further enhanced with the use of new Airmar tilted/flush mounted transducers, allowing for higher speed and eliminating drag. The external communication include a Simrad RD68 VHF with remote mic.
