Viking Yacht Company
In the Spotlight

The new Viking 42 Convertible is progressing beautifully and beginning to take shape. Significant advancements can be seen daily throughout the plant.

Shown here is the deck plug, which was cut on our five-axis profiler. When completed the plug will provide a single-part mold from the pulpit to the cockpit. Notice the gentle crown to the foredeck and toerail. The profiler allows us to design an amazing amount of accuracy into the mold for a flawless finish. As you can see from the rear view, the hatches have been precisely cut, as well as the cockpit observation mezzanine and engineroom access. In the third picture you can see the plug for the cockpit coaming and the transom fish box.

The Viking 42 Convertible will be powered with a pod drive propulsion system and is expected to hit the water late summer.

While things are busy at Viking, remember the Viking fleet is on display at the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show at 5000 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, Florida,
February 11 -15, 2010. Hope to see you there!
