The feeling is pure excitement. It’s something like being a child the night before Christmas, or the pre-tournament jitters the night before the big shotgun start. Our Parker 3420 (Hull #8) is almost complete.

Just 4 weeks ago we were out at the Parker Boats factory, spending two days climbing in and about this big girl, deciding which factory options we wanted for our boat to be properly rigged for the West Coast. We looked at everything from anchoring systems, to cockpit station configurations, to electrical and mechanical systems. All of the details that are best addressed as the boat is being assembled. Now we are within a few weeks of taking delivery of our new model at Sundance Marine, and the fun is just about to begin.

We know that Parker Boats are a solid and rugged platform ideal for fishing and diving just about anywhere in the world. This platform just needs the seasoned touch of experts that know how to rig her to her full potential for the type of boating her new owner enjoys. Once she arrives, we will have more time to explore this new model, and come up with rigging options to match the exact needs of her new owner. Will this boat be destined to fish the outer banks for tuna and billfish? If so, we can help design a tower, bait systems, and other custom rigging options just for that style of fishing. Will she be an Island hopper, keying in on sea bass and yellowtail year ‘round? Then perhaps some additional creature comforts will be the ticket. There are as many different rigging options as there are owners out there, and we can’t wait to start fitting this one out. These are the types of considerations we take into account for every boat we sell. It makes all the difference in the world.

This one is a special treat because there is just so much to work with. Twin 350 H.P. Yamaha outboards will provide plenty of power. 400 gallons of fuel will create the range needed for multiday excursions.

The huge cockpit creates tons of space to design custom bait systems, tackle centers, and the like. The bulkhead cockpit center would make an ideal cockpit steering station and tackle center, or could be converted into an outdoor barbeque and galley area. This boat offers tons of storage, and the under pilot house mechanical room is large enough for three grown men to fit in. The possibilities are endless, and Parker Boats enthusiasts should be just as excited as, well, a kid at Christmas!
