Both Badger and Crow's Nest pre-fished today, after sitting out the storm for 4 days.  It's like watching thoroughbreds locked up in cages and not allowing them to run.  These guys (13 of us on 2 teams) were going mental waiting around and not fishing.  At the end of today--Tuesday, we took some pictures of the 2 boats running.  They are now both tied up at the end of K dock. Back to Back, Stern to Stern.  Pretty awesome Sight!

Looking back, I've been coming here by trailer boat since 1985 when I towed my Boston Whaler Montauk fishing this region.  Moved up to a giant (what seemed like to me at the time) 25 foot Cabo Cuddycon and caught my first Blue Marlin, took the plunge and then got into the first twin diesel -- a 32 Foot Blackfin flybridge in 1992 with twin Cats.  Loved that boat.

I remember Cabo before the marina, before the hotels, before the tourists.  It was a fantastic sleepy little place, today it's a major tourist destination.  Still a great place to visit, but definitely not the same charm that it used to be.  But...the worlds greatest show for fishing is here every October.  3 events that lead to the Bisbees black and blue.

20 quick years has passed, I'm still fishing and doing what I absolutely love.  To be able to fish at this level with the teams, seeing old friends here every October.  Getting ready to fish the largest show after the entire year of boat building, preparations, team management, maintenance, rigging, etc. The sacrifices we each give to be on the water, days away from family, friends, business, etc.  To be a good fisherman, you must fish.  To enjoying fishing, any days is enjoyable.  But to be fishy, you got to be on the water.  This is one of Lassley's top philosophies and I completely agree.

Badger Bisbee team: Steve Lassley, Pete Groesbeck, Andy Hormel, Jim Kingsmill, OB, and Randy Parker

Crows Nest team: Anthony Hsieh, Chad Herron, Ron Ashimine, Tracy Melton, Tracy Epstein, Elisio Rodriquez, and Kevin Nakamaru.

I thank God and my family for allowing me to chase my dreams...
