Fall is a great time to still get some hot action.  The bonito fishing at Point Loma has been wide open for the last few days.  Fish up to 8 pounds- what a great time to take a kid fishing.  If you are into lobster hooping like me, the San Diego Bay has been slow, but if you pick your days and work on it, you will be rewarded with "Reg Gold" - a tasty lobster dinner.  I call it "red gold" since the wholesale price on live lobster is topping $11 per pound!
There have been signs of tuna and marlin on the 9 mile bank, yellowtail on surface iron at the Coronado Islands and plenty of rock fish to fill the plate.  Don't park that boat for the winter- get out there and enjoy some of the best weather and fishing of the year!
