I fished last Sunday for one Blue released and had to fly home for 3 days to catch up in the office and attend to some business.  I scheduled these days thinking that it's after the full and most likely the fishing will be so-so...not-so!  Randy said to me Sunday that he thinks a new wave of fish have moved in from the outside, he is right...Tuesday and Wednesday were spectacular with some boats getting up to 8 blue bites a day.  Some larger grade fish to 800 lbs been seen and caught, I'm flew back Wednesday to Kona anxious to get back out today (Thursday).  We started at our typical 6am, had the lures in the water by 6:10am.  We had a tuna and a 200 lb class blue bite that did not stick, at 9am the right one was on the long corner.  After 17 minutes, we released a 750 class Blue.  While we were leadering her, a male rat was swiming along the boat keeping close to his mate, we got the footage on our cockpit cam.  I'll need to get the footage on here, pretty neat to see.  The big girl gave us a nice show and OB leadered her after a quick switch back move.

After 18 days, this fish gives me and the crew fresh energy.  We are looking foward to day 19, I have about a week left of fishing for my Kona season.  Althought both the quality and the quantity has not matched last couple of years, I'm pleased with our fishing and always appreciate fishing here, knowing that any second my fishing career can change with the "right" bite.

Released to fight another day..
