Hi Gang,

With the albacore at 70 miles and the marlin not quite ready to go, it seemed like a good week to hit the Cornados again.  We left the landing and loaded the Pacific Edge tank with sardines.  Weather was terrific and water conditions were favorable.  Temp. was 68 and color was almost perfect blue.  We arrived at the ribbon kelp and were greeted by two sealions.  They ate our slow trolled baits so we found a hard spot with a nice mark and anchored up.  For the first hour we had the entire spot to ourselves. The dogs gave us a few minutes of grief but eventually gave up.  There was no current yet but we saw good marks and a few fish were splashing around.  Within a few minutes we were treated with a double and we landed both tails.  The 3/4 day boat showed up after catching there sand bass on the coast and anchored up within 50 yards of us.  They put a lot of chum into the water and the area got very lively with yellows, cudas, and calicos.  We had a lot of fun catching cudas and calicos on the surface iron, but the yellows wanted nothing to do with it.  We managed to catch two more yellowtail on sardines for a total of four. The bite shut off around 3:00 pm.  We stopped at north island on the way home and caught a couple of nicer calicos on the iron in the white water.  Rock Cod Rick and my other employee Ori fished with me. Rick caught 3 of the yellows (as usual).  I must say it again, I love the Parker and the great times that we have.  I will be at our industry's Icast show next week and hope to come home to some good offshore opportunities.  I will keep you posted on our future "Parker Adventures.
