Hi Gang,

Left the Fisherman's Landing dock with Ryan Blackmun, our Shimano rep at 5:00 am Thursday morning.  Loaded the pacific edge bait tank with a good mix of dines and anchovies and headed for the 302.  Numbers from the day before lead us to the lower edge of the bank.  On the way we found a good zone with birds and fast moving fish.  I punched the number into the gps and worked the area for an hour.  After no action we checked out the numbers from the day before.  It looked dry but we gave it a good look.  Headed back to the good area and just shy of the numbers the zucchini goes off.  Resisted the temptation to pull back the throttle and loaded up 2 more jigs.  Two fell off at the boat and we landed one.  Not such a good start.  Put 'em back in and kept working.  Within a few minutes we had another triple.  All 3 went into the ice.  Worked the area over some more and had a double.  Both fish gaffed and into the ice.  We worked for another three hours for nothing.  Our jig selection consisted of 7-strand TCF100 tuna clone feathers, 5 inch purple Fishtraps, and Rapala X-rap15 plugs.  Water temp was 66.3 with no significant variation.  The Coronado Canyon area looked very good on the way home but no action there for us.  Weather was a bit chilly and choppy but decent over all.  The boat is awsome and I can't wait for my next trip.  As always, if you have any questions for me about the fishing conditions or the boat, contact me at fishing@saltwatertackle.com or 619-221-8506.  Hope to see you on the water.

Doug
