Mark’s current ride is a Parker 2520 (Mark Wisch Edition), the first of a special series that was originally designed to his specifications. The stock Parker full transom was modified into a notched configuration to accommodate a pair of Yamaha 150 hp four strokes. Additionally, the fuel tank was pushed forward to allow for the installation of a generous fish hold built below deck. Collectively, these modifications saved almost 500 pounds of total weight and improved the trim so the boat performs far better in bad weather.
The list of custom touches is extensive and all were done with one thought... “To be highly efficient in the pursuit of fish.” The boat was designed and built to comfortably handle the overnight trips necessary to chase yellows, halibut and the elusive white seabass at the offshore islands off the California coast. During the offshore season, albacore, tuna, dorado, and marlin all fall in the target zone.

A beautifully designed port-side console incorporates a microwave with galley and tackle storage. It both serves as seating for three and converts to a full size bunk in moments. The microwave and other 110vac requirements are handled by a 1750 watt inverter. Extra battery power for the inverter was added below the cabin deck.
Electronics are all Furuno and include a color sounder, radar and chart plotter and two radios. The all-important anchor pulling details are ably handled by an Ideal Windless. The bait system is a PE85D, a rectangular 85 gallon Pacific Edge tank plumbed with a pair of Jabsco Cyclone pumps and a custom manifold.
Mark took a stock boat and applied the lessons from a lifetime on the water to create much more than a fishing boat.... “Pacific Edge” is a fishing machine!!!
